Abstract :
Rapid urbanization has intensified challenges in waste management, with traditional methods struggling to keep up. Overflowing bins, inefficient collection, and high transport costs are common issues. To address these, we introduce Intell Bin, a smart, connected waste bin system. Intell Bin uses a proximity sensor for contactless access, allowing users to open the bin without touching it. Ultrasonic sensors monitor the bin’s fill level, sending alerts when it reaches capacity. This helps prevent overflow and ensures collections occur only when necessary, reducing unnecessary trips. Intell Bin integrates with a mobile app, allowing remote monitoring and real time notifications for waste management teams. The system also connects to a cloud platform, which aggregates data for optimized collection routes. By leveraging cloud analytics, Intell Bin can reduce transportation costs and fuel consumption. Scalable and adaptable, Intell Bin integrates seamlessly with existing waste management systems. This smart system not only improves efficiency but also reduces environmental impact, making it ideal for modern urban areas.
